Welcome to the David Hoff Newsletter
|
Hello Friends,
We
have finished up the Reno event and this week I head off to Vegas for
the IADCCT Convention. It appears we are going to have a very busy year
with upcoming Webinars, Shows, Special Studio Classes, Fired Arts
Workshops and maybe even a Cruise (still working on one and I promise
the ship will stay upright).

Webinar Jan 25th
I
want to remind all of you my next Wednesday Webinar is January 25,
2012. This will be a double header (back to back Classes). Two hours of
decorating and educational fun with me, David Hoff. For my first Webinar
for the New Year we are revisiting Brushwork with emphasis on the two
related brushes - the Liner and the Round. We have great new camera
angles and since we have learned so much about filming Webinars, we
thought it best to create some wonderful new designs featuring the Liner
and the Round. So, please join us on the 25th of January for two hours of great brushwork.
Check your res
pective time zones for the start of class.
On the west coast the first Class starts at 5:00 p.m.
The second Class starts at 6:30 p.m.
.
after
your finished you will receive the Secret Pass Word (pass codes). Also,
when you sign up for both classes there is a discount and even if you
do not watch the program live, you have access to watch the webinar over and over again at your own pace and time.

Fired Arts Magazine
More news....
For
years many of us have watched this publication change, become less
interesting, etc. A group of us have been talking with Jones Publishing,
that if the magazine were to leave the industry it would be a disaster.
So, the magazine is going digital as well as printed.
I
have a small ad introducing Packets with something Extra, this month is
a Parrot Piping Kit, Mike Harbridge has a layout for Clay Puzzling,
Paula McCoy with Colors for Earth and would be good to see something
from Duncan, Mayco, etc.
I am now writing every month for Fired Arts Magazine. My
articles' will start next month featuring a complete series on
Airbrushing. So, if you like the digital issue, you may want to sign up
for a mailed subscription. Jones Publishing is trying a NEW LOOK and
several of us Fired Arts Educators are putting our best foot forward to
bring back this magazine for you and our industry.
Here is the link for February 2012 the First Issue....
Take a look for free.

So, what is a house class...
We
open our home/studio for maximum of 10 people. If desired and most do,
stay at the house and camp out so, to speak. We have full size twin blow
up beds (very comfortable, I am told); we feed you three great meals
each day. All color, paper work, food and lodging are included in the
price. We pick you up at the Train Station or Airport. If you do not
stay here (that is fine), we will pick you up and take you back to your
motel. Price remains the same if you do not stay at the house. Your
additional costs will be for your ware at a very low rate, my cost
actually, and any supplies you wish to purchase. I also charge a $15.00
firing fee. We will be announcing more classes.
